Please vote for one of these logos

While working on various video projects this summer, it dawned on me that I should probably have a production company with an actual name.  Not that I’m I’m really a fan of formality and shit like that, but I guess if I’m going to be doing stuff for more people than just myself or my homies I might want to think a little bigger, you know?  So I decided to name it Grand Griot, and I asked my guy to put together some logos for me.  I was having a hard time choosing one so I decided to get some feedback from yall about it.

Please take a look and vote for your favorite one.

Which Grand Griot logo do you prefer?

I actually would let someone else putting a logo together, these are not bad but they could be alot better imo. think about it, something less classical and conservative, something that represents blueprint a little bit more… even murdoch could be behind these logos man u kno?

thanks for the feedback. to be honest with you, i actually was going for something more conservative and not “hip-hop” if that makes sense. my goal is to have a logo that people don’t see and think “this is a hip-hop guy doing film”, my goal is to have a logo that people see and don’t necessarily know what my background is. so I agree with you that it could probably be more outspoken, flashy, or even more hip-hop but i actually asked the designed to not make it like that. i guess i didn’t really want it to represent “blueprint” the artist, just Al the video/film guy.

Blue, number 2 is really crisp and compact. I think you will find that this logo will work well as a branding logo on stationary (or anything else for that matter). I feel because of it’s simplicity and squared design it will blend well on page with text or other designs and graphics. Simple is sometimes the best when it comes to logos and I think that this one is simple but balanced. I am a person that tends to like symmetry and this one does it for me. Hope this helps. Kinda hard to break down such a simple logo, but art is my thang! Again, simple is good. The font is clean cut too.

it’s so wild how every time i post a poll the results are different than what I anticipated.  it’s fresh to see how people like different things.

Print. any one but number 4 is cool. I don’t like the classic director’s chair, it is too obvious, and reminds me of hollywood bullshit. I like the old reels graphic for 1 and 2, a little more analog and pure. if you end up putting out tees with logos, let us know..peace

I was leaning towards #2, as I’m a sucker for Blair Medium, but 3 is looking really dope to me. Nice and bold; good contrast. Would look dope on a t-shirt, crew jacket, the whole nine. Props to your man for hooking that up.

thanks for the input. for some reason i thought #4 would be a lot more popular than it’s been so far. I think #3 is pretty dope too

If I had to pick a second favorite, I would go with Number 3, my original choice was Number 2.
